Pretty, affordable, comfortable and convenient. Positive: The hotel is in a great spot the Bishop Arts district. It's so close to Methodist Hospital too. Once we got the access codes for the door, parking and room it was perfect. We stay in the Machu Picchu suite. We may have heard folks a bit being on the 1st floor coming in the door but otherwise it was pretty quiet. There is no elevator stairs to the 2nd floor but they tell you that in their description. The size of the room was great. Design was gorgeous. Tasteful touches and lots of character. I loved the lounge couch a lot and used it. Bathroom and shower were clean. Small fridge in room w/ access to ice machines and some coffee and teas and soda and microwave in the lobby. Nice dining room table in the lobby which made it a comfy place to enjoy food we brought back to the hotel to eat. The pool was pretty and clean, had a grill and tables and seemed to get good sun all day. We found great spots like a juice place, a bowl place, coffee and a taco place and a market just 5 few mins away that was awesome too. Five minutes from the Kessler Theater and so many cute food spots!! We will def return!! It also wasnt hard to get into downtown during traffic (which starts at like 3 in Dallas BTW) Negative: It's helpful to know that the hotel is not staffed (that I saw but must be folks around and cleaning etc) No one is sitting at a front desk. It's fancy and comfy and DIY. This means after booking you will end up in an automated system where you have to upload your ID and your credit card for a security deposit. If this part of the process isn't for you (it's the only way to get your access information for the space) this is not a good fit for you.

I love staying here for the value and safeness. Positive: Gated, pool, ice machine and water machine as well as powder room with full body mirror Negative: The water machine wasn’t working

Surprisingly Nice!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Bishop Arts! It was close to Methodist Dallas Medical Center where we needed to be as well as a Walgreens, CVS and many restaurants. The parking lot is gated lot with a passcode and is shared lot with an apartment building. There are designated spots for the Bishop Arts with plenty of signage. To enter the main building, there is a passcode as well as a passcode to your room, so very much contactless. There is a hallway that has a microwave, coffee machine, 2 small icemakers; however no breakfast. You can also get extra towels, shampoo, conditioner and body wash from a hutch. The room is nicely decorated, the bed comfortable and the pillows were awesome! We had a few minor issues with the room - the curtains didn't meet in the middle and despite having a pull-down shade, the room was a little bright at night, and the shower leaked onto the floor due to a design flaw. We just happened to meet the host and was able to show him the issues. Overall, it is a great place to stay and if we are back in the area, we will definitely stay again!!
